Father's Day Gifts Recap

So, as promised...I said I would post pics of how OUR variations of my fave 2012 Father's Day craft ideas turned out...DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!...

1. & 1b. The iDAD.  This was my hubby, Jarrett's Father's Day card we made to look like his FAVORITE tech toy of ALL time, EVER in life, the iPhone. I think this is what he was most impressed with...we made flaps that lifted up to display hidden messages to him such as, "Most awesome, coolest Dad, ever!"

2. Scrabble Picture Frames. I went to Walmart (next to Target, one of my fave one-stop-shops) to get the picture frames...hoping not to spend over two bucks each for them...WRONG!!!...Boo on my life, BIG TIME!...had THEE hardest time finding picture frames there (that fit MY $criteria$, of course).  So I found these cute frames from the Dollar Tree. They had a little picture of a dog with a cute decal saying, "WOOF!"...Cool beans!...I knew I could easily take that display pic out with no problem...WRONG AGAIN!!...smh (shakin my head)...the actual doggy pic?...a breeze. But the cute little "WOOF!" decal?...TOTALLY MADE ONTO THE GLASS of the frame...Who in world DOES THAT?!?...Dollar Tree. So, not sure if you can actually tell or not, but these uber cute pics are glass-LESS.  I then brought a SCRABBLE game from Walmart which was freakin $16 (whomp whomp!!) I advise NOT to do this...but to buy the letter tiles separately online in advance...I so would've went this route if I wasn't a Last Minute Susie, to ensure you receive your order in time.  The the blue background is regular construction paper, also from the Dollar Tree and I just glued everything in place.

3. All About Dad Printables. These are a MUST!...You let your children answer the questions all by their little grown people selves...and you wind up with the most HIGH-larious responses...Jarrett chuckled quite a bit at the fact that Kai (our 4yr old) said Jarrett's favorite thing to wear was, "His Own Stuff," that he was 1ft. tall and only 60 pounds, and his favorite drink was "Pink Juice" (Kool Aid)...but Kai sure did hit the jackpot with his winning answer being the "LAKERS" for Daddy's favorite show.

I could tell Jarrett was pleased with the effort and creativity it took for me and the B-Boys to get these gifts together...We tackled them in two days, so it didn't take that long...finding the time was the hard part...and although I could tell My Babe really enjoyed his Father's Day gifts, for some reason, I have a strong conviction that he may have well off with a $20 7Eleven gift card for his Slurpee addiction.
