Hopping on the Linky Party Train

Aloha Friday Blog Hop
Aloha Friday!!...I just hopped on the Linky Party train...I did two last week for the first time and I absolutely LOVED it!...the attention my blog received and my few new "BLESSINGS" have gotten me super geeked to hop on a few more linkies. I think what I'm most excited about are all the new "BLOGGIES" (blog buddies) I will soon meet...I super stoked about the whole online blogging community...I admire the sense of family and support fellow bloggers have for another and I want to be a part of the positive and optimistic movement.

So, I stumbled across a rather cool chick named Nicole at Local Sugar Hawaii who's hosting the Aloha Friday Hop...and I'm spreading the word...
1. Cause its just fun!!
2. Who doesn't like making new friends?
3. Who doesn't want more readers?!?

So why don't you join in on the Friday goodness and hop on over with me...

My Personal Nanny

MAN!!!...I really don't know what to do with my life right now...I'm at the park as I'm blogging with ALL THREE B-BOYS...and NOT watching them...(kind of).  The paranoid (Mary's Kids instinct = worried about every little thing) part of me is still looking up every five seconds to secretly keep eye on them.

I have my friend's 12 year old daughter with me for the day and its been HEAVEN...I now know how all the celebs with personal assistants, house keepers, and nannies feel like.  Its a little bit of peace throughout the hectic, chaotic day.

Who knows WHAT I could actually get done in a day with her by my side everyday this summer?!?!?

Well, instead of getting depressed about what my life without Yasmine will look like tomorrow...lemme hurry up and get off this thing to enjoy what I have today.

Wednesday Words of Wisdom

Yes, it is 10 minutes before midnight...SUE ME!...but you CANNOT say that I didn't post a Wednesday W.O.W. for you...this was another good thought that came from my Mary Kay hotline call today...MAN!!!...Thoughts are powerful...its kinda scary to think that your destiny can be controlled by your very own thoughts...and at the same time, kinda liberating too...and yet, also confusing if God already had my life's blueprint in the palm of his hand.

MONday Make My Morning Blog Hop

Happy MONday, Blessings!!!

Yes...I said Blessings...You know how people have "tweeps", followers, or friends on various social networks, well I JUST decided, at the THIS very moment in time, that my followers, readers, supporters will be my "Blessings"...because it is TRULY a blessing when you gain a new new reader or follower...its shows that they like you...your views...your opinions...your silly stories...whatever it may be that you blog about...and you must admit...it feels good, doesn't it...like a little blessing.

ANYWHOO...I just found a Blog Hop that I want to pass on for those looking to meet to Bloggies (my name for Blog Buddies) and network.  Its the Make My Morning Blog Hop Hosted by three wonderful divas: Jeannette of The Adventures of J-Man and MillerBug, Lisa of Mompreneur Mogul and Jen of Life With Levi! I'd love for you to join me...come on!...what are you waiting on???

This morning's question is: WHAT MAKES YOUR MORNING?
For me an awesome morning would be waking up restful...FULLY RESTED...not drowsy nor lacking energy, meaning my butt had to be in bed by a decent hour the night before...I love...LOVE...L-O-V-E!....the idea of chillin on the couch, in the backyard, or even in the car parked with my coffee and catching up on my blog threads and Twitter timeline...AFTER all the kids have been dropped off to day care and school and baby is knocked out sleep for his morning nap...

Okay...enough about my morning...what makes yours??

Father's Day Gifts Recap

So, as promised...I said I would post pics of how OUR variations of my fave 2012 Father's Day craft ideas turned out...DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!...

1. & 1b. The iDAD.  This was my hubby, Jarrett's Father's Day card we made to look like his FAVORITE tech toy of ALL time, EVER in life, the iPhone. I think this is what he was most impressed with...we made flaps that lifted up to display hidden messages to him such as, "Most awesome, coolest Dad, ever!"

2. Scrabble Picture Frames. I went to Walmart (next to Target, one of my fave one-stop-shops) to get the picture frames...hoping not to spend over two bucks each for them...WRONG!!!...Boo on my life, BIG TIME!...had THEE hardest time finding picture frames there (that fit MY $criteria$, of course).  So I found these cute frames from the Dollar Tree. They had a little picture of a dog with a cute decal saying, "WOOF!"...Cool beans!...I knew I could easily take that display pic out with no problem...WRONG AGAIN!!...smh (shakin my head)...the actual doggy pic?...a breeze. But the cute little "WOOF!" decal?...TOTALLY MADE ONTO THE GLASS of the frame...Who in world DOES THAT?!?...Dollar Tree. So, not sure if you can actually tell or not, but these uber cute pics are glass-LESS.  I then brought a SCRABBLE game from Walmart which was freakin $16 (whomp whomp!!) I advise NOT to do this...but to buy the letter tiles separately online in advance...I so would've went this route if I wasn't a Last Minute Susie, to ensure you receive your order in time.  The the blue background is regular construction paper, also from the Dollar Tree and I just glued everything in place.

3. All About Dad Printables. These are a MUST!...You let your children answer the questions all by their little grown people selves...and you wind up with the most HIGH-larious responses...Jarrett chuckled quite a bit at the fact that Kai (our 4yr old) said Jarrett's favorite thing to wear was, "His Own Stuff," that he was 1ft. tall and only 60 pounds, and his favorite drink was "Pink Juice" (Kool Aid)...but Kai sure did hit the jackpot with his winning answer being the "LAKERS" for Daddy's favorite show.

I could tell Jarrett was pleased with the effort and creativity it took for me and the B-Boys to get these gifts together...We tackled them in two days, so it didn't take that long...finding the time was the hard part...and although I could tell My Babe really enjoyed his Father's Day gifts, for some reason, I have a strong conviction that he may have well off with a $20 7Eleven gift card for his Slurpee addiction.

Father's Day Gifts Ideas

With Father's Day right around the corner and me being Last Minute Susie with everything I do in life, I [just now] began searching for cool gifts ideas.
Here are the winners in which I will be doing this year for My Baby...

Jarrett CANNOT live without his iPhone soooo...how awesome is this iPad/iPhone card?!?
Words With Friends, Facebook, Draw Something, and that sports score updater that's ALWAYS plastered on his screen will mos-def be some of our featured apps.

Now for the B-Boys [our sons: Jaden 9, Kai 4, and Landan 18mos] to actually put in some work...
This is perfect for preschool/elementary aged children and they can fill in the blanks themselves, even if their answers are totally wrong...
Makes it more fun and personable to know what they think of their dad.
.

Jarrett's cubicle at work is UBER BLAH!!!...
So, I found this craft that I think would liven up his desk a bit...
AND he LOVES Scrabble/Words With Friends so I think he'll dig it.

I'll later post our completed projects to show how spiffy they came out...

Super Stoked!!

Trip to the Redondo Beach Farmers Market

Days like this remind me of WHY I CAN NOT go back to a 40hr a week gig...

The Present is a Gift

With A LOT on my mind recently, I've been constantly thinking about my next move...

What should I do next with my life?...

I've been out of school since 2006, had two MORE amazing boys since then, held down my first ever-in-life full-time job for a year (hated it!), and now I'm at home with my 17month old and a church friend's daughter...

WHAT IN THE WORLD DO I DO NOW?!?

One day last week, as I was listening to my daily Mary Kay Million Dollar Message hotline, I was reminded of this thought...yes, I should be planning for the next stage of my life, but most importantly, I need to slow down, focus and ENJOY the present...

I need to remind myself that many do not have the present anymore...
and its a gift in itself that I do still have mine today, right now, as I'm typing this...

Don't let your gift get snatched...

The present is precious...Slow Down...Enjoy it...Live it...and take the time to thank God for it because you never know when you might lose it...

Be grateful for what you have, where you are, and who is in your life at this present moment.

I need to sign up for Polyvore 101...

So, I've been seeing these collages of super adorable outfits that people are piecing together on Pinterest...and so I've gotten suckered into ANOTHER social networking site...and created a POLYVORE account so I, too, can create such supafly creations...but now what??...I'm not quite understanding what happens next...
a little help please, if you can...
